The Cooperation Council DKMT/DMTC, was founded on 21st November, 1997. The Euroregion cross-border region DKMT is the second Euroregion cross-border in Romania; after the Charpatian Euroregion.
The growth and development of the relations among the cities as well es the the local governments; in the educational field, cultural domain; science & sports and also in cooperations leading to modern European integration.

The meetings and activities take place within the framework of CBC and CREDO; particularly in the fields of business, fairs and exhitions. Several projects are in progress under the CBC and CREDO programme.
In 1999, a framework-agreement was signed for an unlimited
period of time. It marked a turning point in the partnership
strategy, setting forth an multiannual programme for the
June 1999 - July 2000 time-frame.
